Your Support Of CMN Helps Purchase Equipment Like This
Treating an injury, illness or disease for children often takes highly specialized equipment. Thanks to your support of the Children's Miracle Network, you're making purchases like these possible.
During our annual Mix With Kids Children's Miracle Network Radiothon we ask you to call in and make a pledge to support pediatric services with a one time donation of any amount or by becoming a Mix Miracle Maker and giving the gift or $20 a month all year long. Once you support CMN you may wonder where all the money goes.
Well we can show you. We won't go into all the details of what everything does because it is highly sophisticated and specialized to take care of the older teens all the way to the smallest of babies. It's amazing what can be purchased and provided to children all over East Texas when all the money is pooled together.
One thing that's really important to note is that kids don't get treated in their rooms on the children's wing. Their room is a safe place, and no needles are allowed. When it's time for a procedure, the kids visit the treatment room, which has recently been re-painted and decorated with a soothing, yet engaging, ocean scene.
Brittany Grimm, Child Life Specialist, utilizes the animals in the painting to help distract children from the often unpleasant experience that treatment can be. Brittany also helps children understand their situation and what it means for them. Whether they are experiencing an injury, an illness or in the hospital with another family member. She helps them to understand in a childlike way what is going on around them.
In addition to all the equipment CMN purchased, her position is entirely funded by your support. Call now, don't wait, 903.531.5437 to support the Mix With Kids Children's Miracle Network Radiothon.
