Listening to the Kidd Kraddick tribute show this morning has been incredibly emotional. I tuned in like you did at 7 a.m. while getting ready for work.

It was difficult to apply my makeup while tears were streaming down my face. Although I just joined the Mix 93-1 family, I have been a fan and listener of the Kidd Kraddick morning show for many years. To do our jobs well, it is important to not only listen the radio station that you work for, but also to be aware of what other radio stations in your market are doing. I used this excuse to listen to Kidd and his team until I join the Mix family earlier this month.

It was mentioned this morning that he had the ability to make you laugh one minute and cry the next. We all shared many of those moments. Today, Jenna shared a story about Kidd getting a tattoo. She mentioned he took a lot of time to think about it, but decided on song lyrics.

Two words, actually: The Luckiest.

She explained how important music and words were to him, and why he chose those two words.

The song is one by Ben Folds from his album, Rocking the Suburbs. "The Luckiest" has been one of my favorites since I first heard it. It describes a man's life and how lucky he feels to have met his true love. Jenna says that Kidd explained how he felt like he was the "The Luckiest."

He was truly loved by not only his close family and friends, but listeners like you and me.
