Californians will no longer be travelling to Texas on public funds. They will also not be travelling to Alabama, Kentucky or South Dakota... but wait, there's more.

These four states join a growing list of states that are banned from publicly funded governmental trips. Other states not eligible for state travel include, Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee.

This law recently gained attention following North Carolina's controversial "Bathroom Bill."

In an article in the Sacramento Bee, California Attorney Xavier Becerra said, "We will not spend taxpayer dollars in states that discriminate."

California's legislature voted last year to restrict state-funded travel from states who discriminate against gay and transgender people.
