The East Texas Food bank is asking for your help to earn them a grant for $45,000 from Wal-Mart. The East Texas Food bank is a finalist in Wal-Mart's "Fighting Hunger Together" campaign which will award 40 food banks with $45,000 for their child hunger programs!

Dennis Cullinane, executive director for the East Texas Food Bank says if they are awarded the money it would go to their Backpack Program where more than 4,500 children are participating. Area school districts from Athens, Frankston, Nacogdoches, Palestine, Tyler and Westwood ISD's provide food to children through this program.

The public can vote on Facebook through 11:59pm ET on April 30th. You can "vote" once per day. At the end of voting, the top vote getters will split $3 million in funding from Wal-Mart!
