Katy Perry Describes Her Role of Smurfette as ‘Coming Of Age’ [VIDEO]

The Smurfs will once again be on the big screen later this month with Katy Perry lending her voice to play the role of Smurfette. Katy describes the movie as being really heartfelt and a coming of age for Smurfette and many others. She tells Entertainment Tonight,

It's like everybody goes through these, kind of, coming of age growing pains, questioning existence."

She feels that people will be able to relate to Smurfette because it's like us going through our teenage years!

The Smurfs 2 centers around Smurfette being kidnapped by Gargamel and taken off to Paris where we're introduced to new Smurf like creatures call the Naughties. The Smurfs 2 will debut in theaters July 31st.
