This week's recipient is Mr. Swearington of Van High School in Van.

Mix 93-1 and Half Price Books are proud to recognize Mr. Swearington, the Van High School choir director at Van High School in Van. Mr. Swearington was nominated by the parent of one of his students who had this to say about him:

Last school year was Mr. Swearington's first year at Van High School. He helped my daughter cope with the unexpected death of her father. He is a very compassionate , caring person. He was there for her and any student that needs him. He loves his job and the students love him. I really don't know how my child would have done without him being there for her in time of need. Most people wouldn't get involved. He'll never know how much we ALL appreciate him and everything he does.
