Spring has sprung all across East Texas and it's the time of the year that many East Texans get out of the house and look for something to do outdoors. Planning something outdoors this weekend though could be a bit chancy though because Mother Nature has plans to water her garden all weekend! If you don't mind dodging some hit or miss showers all weekend get out and check out these events:

Arts & Crafts Fair Returns To Bergfeld Park During Tyler's Azalea Trails

For the next few weeks thousands of visitors will be flocking to Tyler's historic Azalea District to take in all the beauty that Tyler's Azalea and Spring Flower Trail will have to offer. Visitors next weekend (as well as East Texans) can take part in the arts and crafts fair that will be open at Bergfeld Park in Tyler.

The signs of spring are all around us, trees are starting to bud, some grass is turning green, daffodils are popping up and the azalea blooms are starting to appear on the evergreen bush and that means the Azalea & Spring Flower Trail in Tyler will soon be opening.

Today and tomorrow are your last two days to officially visit the Tyler Azalea and Spring Flower Trail in Tyler. The weather has been very cooperative this year and has been very nice. Although the official numbers have not been released as far as visitors to the trail this year, I can only imagine there has been an increase over last years numbers.

As the Tyler Azalea and Spring Flower Trail continues to bloom and bring in visitors to the Rose City this weekend, there will be one more thing that they can enjoy while visiting Tyler and that's the Main Street Flower Market. This year marks the fifth year for the event and features a wide variety of gardening items for sale.

The first day of spring in East Texas is being welcomed with a healthy dose of rain. Rain that is desperately needed for East Texas lakes, which are returning to normal levels thanks to the latest downpours. With the first day of Spring, we can look forward to spending time with our families outdoors and take in all the beauty that East Texas has to offer this time of year.

This year looks like it will be a good year to check out Tyler's Azalea Trail early! Many azalea bushes are already in bloom in advance of the official start of the Tyler Azalea and Spring Flower Trail, which officially kicks off March 23. I even have a few azalea bushes blooming in my back yard, and we're not even on the trail!
