Tomorrow, every person in America will come together to celebrate our country and the freedom we have. Instead of having your typical fourth of July meal, why not spice it up and be creative and make this a holiday to remember for your guests? We found some fun and yummy little treats to help your Independence day stand out and make it a memorable one.

Fireworks may have originally been a product of China, but there is nothing more American than setting these babies on fire for July 4th. Alcohol also happens to be a big part of our Independence Day traditions, and when booze is combined with firecrackers things can get pretty messy.

The legend of America’s birth is only 236 years old. However, in that short amount of time, a number of legends that would normally take centuries to grow and multiply in any other civilization have sprung up.

The 4th of July is coming up Wednesday and firework stands have opened up all around East Texas.  In my neighborhood alone, there are four stands selling the them and I'm sure I'll be stopping by one of them soon to buy some because my daughter has asked when we're buying fireworks!  She began asking the day she saw those portable stands show up on the roadside.

As we mentioned, the fireworks stands have opened up shop in Texas, and you can buy the fireworks through next Wednesday at midnight. Fun for all! Except the family dog. Dogs think they're being tortured! Mine run to take cover in the bedroom every time they hear a pop. This time last year we were feeling the heat here in East Texas with 100-plus degree days. Add to that about 95 percent of the state of Texas was under a burn ban and that put a damper on Fourth of July celebrations.  What a difference a year makes! It's a bit wetter although just as humid, but we're able to shoot our fireworks this year (so far at least)!
