‘Dumb and Dumber 2′ Saved by Universal
Warner Bros. made a pretty dumb (or was it smart?) move to dump the Farrelly Brothers' 'Dumb and Dumber To,' but Universal has swept in to rescue the sequel from production limbo.

Jim Carrey’s daughter Jane tried out for ‘American Idol‘ at the San Diego round of auditions. She certainly looks like dear old dad. It’s a bold move for the daughter of a celebrity to try out for the show, but it’s also honest, since the 24-year-old isn’t relying on her dad’s name to get ahead. For that, we certainly applaud Jane Carrey.
When we last checked in with Jim Carrey, he was declaring his love for Emma Stone in a creepy but hilarious video. So it was probably appropriate that Carrey sung ‘Creep,’ Radiohead’s ode to awkward longing, when he crashed New York City club Arlene’s Grocery’s Friday karaoke party.
Over the past few months many well known Hollywood names have been bandied about in connection with the Farrelly brothers Three Stooges film. These names have included Jim Carrey, Benicio Del Toro, Mel Gibson and even Sean Penn. It finally devolved down to Johnny Knoxville, Andy Samberg from "Saturday Night Live" and Australian actor Shane Jacobson. Now the cast has devolved again from that to Will Sasso from Mad TV as Curly, and now the project has its Larry.
