Larry Hagman, a Texas native who played the notorious, yet loved, J.R. Ewing on the hit television show 'Dallas,' died on Friday. He was 81.

It’s hard to describe to young folks how big ‘Dallas’ was when it ran on CBS in the late 70′s/early 80s. Now TNT is trying to recapture some of that ratings magic with a new version of the show.
And this one won’t have new actors taking over the roles of characters we used to love (and hate). This show will have some original actors too.
