Philip Seymour Hoffman Will Be Digitally Recreated For His Final ‘Hunger Games’ Scene

We initially thought that these final scenes would be rewritten to exclude the character of Plutarch Heavensbee, but according to the NY Post, the filmmakers are planning to recreate the late actor with special effects to keep his presence intact.

Josh Hutcherson kept 'The Hunger Games' references to a minimum during his 'SNL' hosting stint last night (Nov. 23). In fact, his opening monologue was pretty much the major moment in which the film was referenced. But it was done so in epic fashion, with the cast re-enacting the plot.

‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Review

In 2012, 'The Hunger Games' was not only critically acclaimed; it was also the third highest grossing blockbuster of the year, coming in behind 'The Avengers' and 'The Dark Knight Rises.' We're elated to report that he's created a sequel that is bigger, bolder and all around better than its solid predecessor, helped in part by an extraordinary cast and a lusher budget.

Original director Gary Ross dropped the project and the production was rushed to meet a release date, leaving many fans worried that the tale of Katniss Everdeen was in less than sure hands. But the first wave of critiques have washed ashore, and the verdict is ...
