On Saturday we posted the video of a girl texting and falling. This video popped up all over the internet which to date has been viewed over 2 million times in total. This story has escalated to a lawsuit - go figure.

This morning, Cathy Cruz Marrero (the woman who falls in the above video), told her side of the story and the emotional pain she was enduring. (whatever) The Early Show had Ms. Marrero as a guest and weighed in on the story. She wasn't hurt, "at least not physically," remarked "Early Show" co-anchor Chris Wragge.

But Cruz Marrero says what does hurt is "the humiliation (from the video having been put online).

The humiliation. Ask my husband: I cried for days. You don't know how many people are laughing at me." Have to admit I was one of them.

Texting while walking, Cruz says, is "dangerous. I could have been walking into a bus, a car, a ditch, anything. Texting and walking, take it from me, is dangerous. It really is."

Maybe she should have used this iPhone application? Of course we all talked about this story today, here at work. My biggest concern would have NOT been who saw, but if my phone had gotten wet.
