Airport Passengers Leaving Tyler Urged to Arrive Early
Tyler Pounds Regional Airport is expecting increased travel because of the upcoming Spring Break combined with East Texas business travelers.
Airport Manager Davis Dickson says, “With flights being full, passengers should plan to add a little more time for check-in and screening.”
Davis added that “Just this week I have seen customers rushing in 15 minutes before departure time only to miss their flight. It is important to be at the ticket counter to check in at least 40 minutes before departure time. Typically the ticket counter will close the flight 30 minutes before departure to finalize procedures for takeoff.”
The airport recommends booking your flight on-line or through a travel agent for full service reservations and planning. Begin the reservation process by entering TYR as your departure location.
