Two years ago, I was reading a lot of hype about a movie adaptation of The Hunger Games Trilogy. My expectations were high, because everything I read was so intriguing. The story line was like nothing else I had ever read.

I couldn't imagine liking a novel about children killing each other, but each review that I read changed my perspective. I realized that it was a social commentary on consumerism and celebrity in our culture, so I downloaded the first book via iTunes and listened to it while I worked in my yard one weekend.

I was hooked. As soon as I finished the Hunger Games, I was immediately downloading
Catching Fire, and the same with Mocking Jay. The Trilogy is riveting and has may twists and turns. If you've read it, you know it's an experience you won't soon forget.

When the movie opened last spring, I was surprised to find that my boyfriend actually wanted to see it with me. I was excited to see the characters on the page come to life, and I think the idea of battle intrigued him. When it was released on DVD we watched it again it on Netflix.

Now, like everyone else, we are anticipating the release of the second film, 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' on Nov. 22. Want more reasons to get excited? They hype is picking up.

You can now watch the trailer on repeat on YouTube.

Or watch Coldplay's lyric video for 'Atlast', which will be featured on the Hunger Games: Catching Fire Soundtrack.
