Late Night Lufkin Meet Up Ends In Shots Fired

According to KTRE, on Friday, April 25, 2025, two people reported to St. Luke Memorial around 11 PM with gunshot wounds. The victims told officers they met two people at the park to sell a cell phone, when one of them showed a gun.

One person was shot in the stomach, and the other in the hand; both were later moved to out-of-town hospitals. Lufkin Police believes this was an isolated incident and that the public is not in danger.
