(East Texas) How much of a scare are you willing to take? How much adrenaline can your body pump through your veins while walking through dark hallways just waiting for something to jump out at you? If your system can handle the scares and the additional adrenaline rush, then there are several haunted houses in East Texas for you to experience this Halloween.

It has been quite a while since I've been through a haunted house, mainly because my wife and daughter are terrified of them. While being scared to death, they can also be fun. Your senses are heightened, and the feeling of fight or flight is in full effect. I believe the last haunted house I visited was when the Tyler Jaycees hosted a haunted house on Highway 155 in Noonday; that was years ago.

East Texas Haunted Trails and Outdoor Scares

While we're looking for haunted houses, there's another option: the spooky trails in the woods. They can be just as terrifying because it's out in the open, and there is no telling where the next scare is going to come from. Haunted houses, though, are probably the preferred choice for most East Texans when it comes to getting their scare on during spooky season.

Walking down these dark and twisty hallways, we'll encounter demented ghouls, terrifying zombies, very creepy clowns, chainsaw-wielding maniacs, along with some gruesome scenes that will leave you wondering why you ever wanted to walk through this demented place.

If you're willing to encounter ghosts, zombies, creepy clowns, and all sorts of terrifying creatures and scenes, then you've got to visit one of these East Texas haunted houses.
