AMBER Alert Continues For 2 McKinney Girls Abducted By Grandmother
McKinney, Texas police issued an AMBER Alert this morning for two missing children. Sisters, ages 9 and 6, are believed to be in grave danger and to have been abducted by their paternal grandmother while on a supervised CPS visit Thursday evening in McKinney (a suburb to the north of Dallas and Plano).
Authorities are looking for:
Jessica Burns - 9 years old
4 feet 10 inches tall
90 pounds
blonde hair and blue eyes
Jessica was last seen wearing dark-framed glasses, a red long-sleeved shirt with black sleeves and blue jeans.
Jennifer Burns - 6 years old
4 feet tall
60 pounds
blonde hair and blue eyes
Jennifer was last seen wearing purple framed glasses, a light blue shirt with a sparkly design and blue jeans.
According to McKinney Police, the girls were under the temporary custody of CPS and on a supervised visit with their father and grandmother Thursday evening at a restaurant near Central Expressway and Virginia Parkway.
McKinney Police are looking for the girls' grandmother.
At some point 60-year-old Jame Burns left the restaurant with the girls in a black SUV with unknown license plates with a scratch on the front, silver door handles and a black exterior. No make or model was given about the vehicle they left the restaurant in. Jame Burns is described as a white female, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 230 pounds with blonde hair and brown eyes.
McKinney detectives are working with the FBI to locate these children as they believe these girls are in grave danger. If you see these girls or the grandmother, call 9-1-1 or the McKinney Police department at 972.547.2700.
