San Antonio Mother And Son Found Dead In A Ditch

The bodies of a mother and her 3-year-old son were found lying in a San Antonio ditch.

BODIES OF MOTHER AND CHILD FOUND IN DITCH

An Amber Alert had been issued for 32-year-old Savannah Kriger and her 3-year-old son, Kaiden Kriger. However, not long after the alert went out, the bodies of the mother and son had been discovered.

Laying in a ditch near Hwy 151 and Loop 410 in San Antonio were the bodies of Savannah and Kriger. The discovery alone was alarming but there was a key detail that created an even more disturbing case.

DISTURBING EVIDENCE FOUND NEARBY

According to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, there was evidence of a shooting and a gun was found nearby. The mother was assumed to be involved in this tragedy and was described as a suspect.

“At this point, (Savannah) is who we are considering the suspect,” Salazar said. “Of course, we’re going to process thoroughly the scene to make sure of that.”

Although, Salazar had made it clear that he did not believe anyone else was involved.

“There’s been some sort of a custody battle going on with the custody of the baby,” he said, in offering a reason why relatives had become concerned and reported the two missing.

COMMUNITY MOURNING THE LOSS

Community members felt sick learning about the gruesome details of the case. “Just having children, makes you sick to your stomach,” said Amanda Stoneberger, a neighbor. “Poor little boy. And what the mom must have been thinking, it’s just really devastating.”
