American Idol donating iTunes Sales to Aid in Japan Quake Relief
Last year American Idol helped with the relief efforts in Haiti and now they turn their sites on Japan which has been hit by one of the most devastating disasters in recorded history.
Last night the show opened with judges, Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson, and host Ryan Seacrest asking viewers to download the Top 12 performance songs from iTunes and that a portion of the proceeds would go the American Red Cross relief efforts in Japan. After Thursday night's show, viewers will be able to text in donations.
