Unique gifts and custom handmade accessories will be the highlights of the 2016 Azalea Arts and Crafts Fair at Bergfeld Park, offered by Tyler Parks and Recreation. The return of this special event is set for Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 10, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. A limited number of booth spaces remain.

More than 75 vendors are expected to attend the fair, offering a vast array of handmade items, ranging from photography, pottery and paintings to jewelry, clothing, painted gourds, candles, florals, quilts, soaps, plants, woodcrafts, blown glass and much more. Many vendors are new to the event and are traveling from out of state to participate this year.

Vocal Trash, a nationally known band, will be performing on Sunday at 2 p.m. Vocal Trash is described as “Glee meets Stomp.” This green-minded ensemble globally delights audiences on a relentless pursuit to bring people together utilizing the universal language of song and dance.

“It’s Urban Broadway,” said Special Events/Recreation Manager Debbie Isham. “The band will also be providing an educational seminar on ‘think before you throw it away’ at their performance.”

For a small charge, children can participate in the Kid’s Zone that will include a rock wall and bounce houses. Concessions will be available both days.
