Black Tie Bingo is Going Back to the 80’s

You may already know that I have a heart for Downtown Tyler, but did you know that volunteering for Heart of Tyler can be totally rad! Yes, this year it's Totally 80's at Black Tie Bingo.

This year the theme is Totally 80's and I wanted to give you a preview of what the decorations commitee has dreamed up... ahem... created with thousands of volunteer hours and creativity.

One of the projects I was given was to create giant Rubik's cubes. We took cardboard boxes, painted them black, then cut out thousands of squares to glue onto the boxes to bring them to life. No, you won't be able to turn them.

I've also been working to bring an element of MTV to the soiree, and helped to create a musical version of 'heads or tails.'

The annual fun-raiser benefits Heart of Tyler, the only non-profit totally dedicated to downtown revitalization. Four high-stakes games of bingo will be played with opportunities to play additional fund-raising games for prizes.
