Brookshire's Gives All 14,000 Employees Bonus Pay

How's this for a positive headline? Brookshire's Grocery Co. is thanking its employees for their response efforts to the coronavirus outbreak in East Texas by giving each one of them a bonus check worth half a week's pay!

Here's the full statement from Brookshire's:

In appreciation for our partners’ outstanding service, the Company is giving our partners a special bonus for the extra effort in these uncertain times. This discretionary bonus is equivalent to up to one half week’s pay for all partners who have worked within the last month.

"We want to show our appreciation for the incredible hard work and dedication of our employees supporting each other, our neighbors and communities during these unprecedented times," said Trent Brookshire, Chief Operating Officer. "As our stores are an essential destination for our communities, it’s been amazing to witness our team pull together to serve our customers like never before. We believe it is the right thing to do to give back to our partners as they have demonstrated grit, determination, commitment and care for our guests and communities over the past few weeks."
