Cameron Boyce’s Death Certificate Reveals He Was Cremated
Cameron Boyce's official death certificate revealed the Disney star was cremated.
According to TMZ, the beloved actor's ashes were given to his father, Victor, following the family's decision to cremate his body after his tragic death earlier this month. It's unclear what Boyce's family plans to do with his ashes, but the document has Los Angeles' Forest Lawn Memorial Park listed as the funeral location.
The death certificate confirms he passed away at 2:35 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, however, his official cause of death remains unconfirmed until the coroner completes their ongoing investigation. As previously reported, Boyce died in his sleep after suffering from a seizure triggered by his epilepsy.
"It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron," his family confirmed in a statement to ABC News. "He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated."
"The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him," they continued. "We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother."
In the wake of his death, a number of celebrities have posted tributes, including one shared by Boyce's Descendants 3 co-star Dove Cameron, who took to Instagram to read a heartbreaking letter she wrote for him.
