They say everything is bigger in Texas, but sadly not when it comes to roller coasters. Our tallest coaster comes in at number sixteen on the top fifty in the world. However, that doesn't mean it still won't scare you going down the big hill. If you love heights, these are the ones for you.

4.Superman Krypton Coaster (168 Feet Tall)

For our first stop we head over to San Antonio, to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Their Superman themed ride is a roller coaster which when it opened at the time, had the tallest vertical loop in the world at 145 feet. The record was held from 2000-2013. Although that has since been beaten, this ride still packs a Superman sized punch for coaster enthusiasts.

3. Iron Rattler (179 Feet)

We stay in San Antonio at Six Flags Fiesta Texas for this one as well. When it opened in 1992, the Rattler was the tallest wooden roller coaster in the world. However, if you ride it nowadays, it's not the same. In 2013, it was converted to steel and called the Iron Rattler. The frame is still wood, but the ride is a lot smoother than it originally was back in the day. Sort of like what Six Flags Over Texas did with the New Texas Giant. Made some upgrades to give the guests a better ride.

2. Mr Freeze Reverse Blast (218 Feet)

Now we head to Arlington for Six Flags Over Texas. One of the more underrated roller coasters in the country because the ride launches you backwards at first. Once you go through some loops, you climb the tall spire, then the ride launches you forwards to go through it once again. You don't appreciate how tall this ride is until you get launched forwards. At the time of its opening in 1998, it was the fourth tallest, longest and second fastest shuttle coaster.

1. Titan (245 Feet)

Want to get the best view of Arlington? Go ride the Titan at Six Flags Over Texas. That slow climb up that tall hill gives you a great look of the surrounding area. You're almost at eye level of the top of AT&T Stadium (300 feet tall). Titan is still the tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster in Texas. It has been open since 2001 and that record has held for quite sometime. The ride can be so intense, people have blacked out. However, many Six Flags employees believe some of those are due to the harsh Texas heat playing a factor. If you need a thrill give it a go.
