It is going to be a long month and a half for those craving to get Chick-fil-A on Troup Hwy.

Normally closed on Sunday's, this franchised location announced on their Facebook page that they would be closing temporarily for a remodel of the building. No more chicken nuggets, no more chicken sandwiches, no waffle fries, no market salads, no chicken minis and no Chick-fil-A sauce until mid-November. KLTV 7 reports that a building permit was issued by the city for a remodel of the facility's kitchen area with an expansion project of nearly 500 square feet. CBS 19 spoke with Barb Carter, Tyler Chick-fil-A spokesperson saying the location is also adding an adapter to accommodate a double drive thru at this location.

The store is currently closed with construction scheduled to begin Monday, September 30th. It looks like the lines at the Chick-fil-A on S. Broadway and in the Broadway Square Mall just got a little longer as East Texans will be lining up to get their Chick-fil-A.

Judging from the reaction on the franchises Facebook page, they are going to be missed in the short term, but many loyal customers are looking forward to the changes while others are giving them suggestions for future locations around town.
