Texas is full of hardworking people, that take pride in putting in the long hours so they can take care of their family. But there are always some people trying to scam others to not have to work and steal from others. We are fortunate in Texas to have some tremendous law enforcement officers and departments that work to shut these scams down, but let’s look at some of the most common scams you will see in Texas. 

Remember these scammers are always looking to get your money, but almost just as valuable to them is your important information. Never give out any personal information to anyone that you don’t fully trust. It only takes seconds for scammers to take your information and create new bank accounts or hack into your bank account and drain you of everything you’ve worked for, we don’t want you to become a victim.

Scammers love to come out after any crazy storm that rolls through Texas, they will hit your email inbox, they can create fake websites that look almost identical to some of your favorite websites hoping that you don’t know the difference and enter your information. Just know that scammers are working hard to steal from you, before purchasing anything online be extra careful that everything seems accurate.
