Crappie Fishing On Lake Palestine

Spring break week offers kids and families time to get together and do something a little different and fun. Some families head off on vacation for a couple of days, others head off with their friends to the coast or to the mountains for some skiing while others find things to do locally or hang around the house. My wife and I are fortunate to have her parents watch our daughter while she's out this week.

With great spring like weather yesterday, my daughter went fishing with her Pawpaw and Mimi on Lake Palestine. Hearing her tell the story is exciting, she had a great time and although she wasn't into fishing, she was excited about catching the fish up out of the water with the dip net! She helped her Pawpaw get the biggest crappie he's ever caught on Lake Palestine coming in at 3 lbs. 2 oz.! You can guess what we had for dinner last night, yes, fried fish!

There is some great fishing on Lake Palestine and in less than a month, Mix 93-1 will have given away a total of $40,000 in cash and prizes to anglers in the Big Bass Bash!
