Cyndi Lauper announced her farewell tour. It's called the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, and it kicks off this October.

She'll be joined by surprise special guests who will be announced later. Tickets go on sale Friday.

Cyndi's documentary, "Let the Canary Sing", hit Paramount+ today. It's the story of her career as an artist and an activist. Here's the trailer:

Here's something you may not have know about Cyndi: she went broke BEFORE she got famous. She was in a group called Blue Angel, and was eventually sued by their manager. She finally climbed out of the hole when her debut album, "She's So Unusual", became a hit.

It's not that hard to lose millions of dollars. It happens all the time. Especially to rock stars.

Here's something else you may not have known: "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" is a COVER. song. That's right! Cyndi's famous version came out in 1983, but the original was recorded by a guy named Robert Hazard in 1979. The original was more punk/new wave sounding than Lauper's version. It's really good though!

Take a listen to the original here:

The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour hits Dallas, Austin and Houston in November.

Also, with the way ticket sales have been lately for these big artists, it's almost a guarantee that these Texas dates will sell out VERY quickly, so you might wanna join the fan club or something. At least join the mailing list.
