East Texans Rally to Keep Shelter Dogs Warm This Winter
(KNUE-FM) Living in East Texas is a dream. It’s truly a wonderful place to call home. One of the things that make living here even better is when I get off work and go home to my wife and dogs. I’m completely convinced that dogs make life better, and no one will ever change my mind on that.
We are talking about these adorable creatures who just want to show us unconditional love. There is nothing that they want or need from us besides maybe some food and love in return. I’m certain that we don’t deserve their love but we should appreciate that they love us so much.
Tyler Launches Blanket Drive for Local Shelter Dogs
Okay, now what can we do to help dogs here in East Texas? According to KETK, there is a new blanket drive that is going on now through December 5th asking for as many blankets as possible. Preferably the blankets will be 50x50 inches or 60x60 inches to fit the kennels for animals of all sizes.

Where to Drop Off Your Blanket Donations
This amazing drive is being put on by the Tyler Public Library and Tyler Animal Control and all blanket donations are being accepted at the Tyler Public Library.

How Your Donation Helps Shelter Dogs
So, if you’re going to the store soon, please think about picking up a blanket or go through your closet and donate some of your older and gently used ones for animals to be comfortable as they wait to find their forever family.
If you want to know more about the blanket donations you can contact the Tyler Public Library at 903-593-7323. If you want to know more about pet adoptions you can contact Tyler Animal Control at 903-535-0045.
