Exciting News – More Jobs Are Coming To East Texas
Exciting things are happening in Tyler, Texas.
New businesses are coming to the Rose City and with those businesses come jobs.
Last July we reported that Bass Pro Shops would be coming to Tyler in the former Gander Mountain / RVs.com location on S. Broadway. The company would be spending around $13 million for a remodel of the 73,000 square-foot facility near The Village At Cumberland Park shopping center in Tyler.
Bass Pro Shops anticipated the store to open by February 2025. As with any construction and remodeling project dates get moved back and it now looks like it'll be opening in late February or in March.

In anticipation of the grand opening date of Bass Pro Shops Outpost, they are going to need staff to run the store which is going to be filled with fishermen and fisherwomen, outdoor enthusiasts, and more looking for their gear.

In addition to previous details about the new store, Bass Pro Shops Outpost is looking to fill at least 90 permanent positions with an average salary of $45,000. (CBS19)
Once open, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts will no longer have to travel to Garland or Shreveport, Louisiana to get their gear.
More jobs will be on the way to Tyler when the following projects are completed:
- Dave And Busters
- Amazon delivery facility
- YellaWood
- West Tyler retail development - Brookshires, 7Brew, Freddy's, Chick-fil-Amazon
Despite the news of some major retailers like Advance Auto Parts, Big Lots, Party City, Kohl's, Macy's, Foot Locker, and others closing locations in Texas and across the nation, things seem to be strong in East Texas still.
