If you want to sample all the best food and adult beverages in the area, Zoo Brew at Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin is the spot. This year's zoo fundraiser will be on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 6 PM to 9 PM.

Seeing the zoo's nocturnal residents at night as you stroll between food and drink stations is a proper adult way to see all the animals. Tickets are $50 each or $70 and up if you want an event T-shirt.

More Than Beer At Ellen Trout's Zoo Brew

The Friends of Ellen Trout Zoo make the Zoo Brew better every year. This year, they will feature beer and wine—sample offerings from Pineywoods Vinyard in Hemphill and Kizz My Legacy from Humble.

Enjoy Live Performances At Zoo Brew

Three different areas in the zoo will host live entertainment. Scott Floyd's smooth saxophone stylings will be in the Wannemacher Garden, J Webb will make it rain down in Africa, and Bryan Harkness will lay down some smooth vocals in the events area.

Another improvement will be in the way you experience raffle items. Raffle stations are set up throughout the zoo, unlike previous years when it was all in one spot.

Amazing Art Pieces and One-Of-A-Kind Experiences At  Zoo Brew

Guests can bid on this unique, modern, African art piece depicting a hippo. It has been hand-carved by Kenyan artists from recycled flip-flops collected from the waterways and landfills in Kenya.
