In conjunction with the Texas Rose Festival, the Goodman LeGrand Museum is set to host its sixth annual open house on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Tyler's Parks and Recreation department has pulled together festivities from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. on the grounds including free admission to the house. House tours are also scheduled, and Bertram Hayes-Davis has been selected as the guest speaker. Hayes-Davis will give a lecture on the life of Jefferson Davis at 2 p.m.

The Rose Belles will be on-site, and horse-drawn carriage rides from the museum to T.B. Butler plaza can be purchased for $20. Refreshments and chairs will be provided.
