We're not in as good of shape as you may think.

Texas

I know what you're thinking, you're thinking that Texans are so heavily armed that we could just pew-pew those spaceships right of the sky, right? Not so fast bucko, how do you know that aliens won't have something that renders gunpowder inert? Maybe they'd attack from so high up that guns would be useless. When you're dealing with aliens, you may not be able to fight them in traditional ways.

The Survey

A survey was conducted that revealed "The States Most And Least Likely To Survive An Alien Invasion. The study basically used two pieces of criteria. The first was the number of U.F.O. sightings and "visits", indicating that the aliens might by up above planning something. The second piece of criteria was population density, meaning less people would give you more room to hide.

How We Did

Texas is apparently in the middle of the results. I say "middle" because the survey only listed the 10 most likely, and the 10 least likely and Texas made neither list. It seems to me that if "places to hide" is important than we have tons and tons of elbow room here in the Lone Star State. We, in fact, have so much room, you'd think it would be enough to put us on top of the "Most Likely To Survive" list, but no luck.

The "Reality" Of It

Digging a bit deeper and knowing the geography of Texas, I don't know how anyone could conquer Texas in a short period of time. There are so many tiny towns set 40 miles a part that you'd go nutty just trying to find them all. Let's just hope the aliens don't know how to use Google Maps.

Most Remaining Casa Ole Locations In Texas, Here's Where To Find Them

Back in its heyday, it seems like most Texas towns were saying, "Fresh Today! Casa Ole!" However, it appears that only 16 Casa Oles are still in operation, and 15 of those are in Texas.
