Marie Kondo's surprise 2019 Oscars appearance sparked a lot of joy with Twitter users.

The Tidying Up star walked the red carpet on Sunday, and Twitter couldn't get enough. Kondo, 34, stepped out wearing a light pink Jenny Packham gown with silver floral details. She was joined by her husband, Takumi Kawahara.

"The #Oscars ceremony this year is such a mess not even Marie Kondo can fix it," one Twitter user joked.

Another said, "MARIE KONDO SPARKS JOY."

"Marie Kondo at the Oscars because she loves mess obviously," a third joked.

The 91st annual Oscars is the first Kondo has ever attended. Although she was known to some prior to the premiere of her Netflix series, she wasn't quite the sensation she is now. Her minimalist mindset and perpetual optimism has taken the masses by storm.

As the award show only honors films, rather than television, Kondo will not be honored during the event.

The Oscars kick off at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC. The show will be broadcast live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.
