I had no idea the houseplant on top of my fridge was actually considered poisonous to pets. I put it up there when it was really small and my cats didn't seem to care much about it, or spend any time on top of the fridge. Over the past two years, that tiny house plant has GROWN, and now the leaves are hanging down all the way to the window ledge next to it where my three kitties like to lay in the sun. I noticed there were several chomps taken out of the leaves over the past few days, but I just kind of let it happen. That was a bad idea.

Check out this list of 6 common houseplants that can be deadly or poisonous to your pets and then take a look around your house to be sure you don't have any of them in your collection. You do not want to deal with the vet bills or lose your furry pal because they have a little taste for danger...
