Shawn Mendes turned up the volume all the way at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards.

Looking suave in a partly unfastened button-down, the Canadian crooner gave one heck of an enthusiastic show of “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back” to a crowd of screaming fans this evening (Sunday, August 27).

With his guitar in hand and a full band behind him, the Illuminate dreamboat didn't hold back with his vocals, delivering an unforgettable performance that rocked the entire Forum arena in Inglewood, California.

Mendes was in the running for two VMAs tonight: Song of the Summer for “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back” (awarded earlier to Lil Uzi Vert’s “XO Tour Llif3”) and Best Pop Song for last year’s summer smash, “Treat You Better.”
