Short. Terrifying. Hilarious. Texan: 5-Word Tales

Here's a fun little game to play.

The Challenge

The challenge was to come up with a "5 word horror story". Most of the stories ended up being about every day horrors, but there are a few that fall into the spooky stories realm. Probably one of the least fun parts of the challenge (according to my writing partner) is counting and eliminating the stories that are more or less than 5 words (C'mon, the instructions are simple!).

The Authors

We had dozens and dozens of contributions so we just picked up a smattering from here and there to share with you. After all, we wanted to leave you a little room for you to compile your own horror stories. In fact, when you see this on social media, please feel free to add onto the list. We just may republish a longer version of it in the future. I'm not sure the list has a specific Texas lean to it, but it was written by some very clever Texans and they deserve credit for it.

The List

The list can be a little naughty, but we left the raunchiness behind. We are certainly fans of all types of humor but we wanted to keep these accessible and possibly provide you with a grin without having to worry about what you are displaying on your computer.
