NKOTB, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men, who are on the road together as the Package Tour, brought the '90s to the 'Today' show this morning (May 30) in New York City. The boy bands, who were at their respective peaks in the 1990s, proved that they are incredibly viable two decades later by demonstrating flawless dance moves while delivering their delightfully harmonized pop.
Children of the '90s, rejoice! Less than a year after wrapping up their hugely successful boy band tour with the Backstreet Boys, New Kids on the Block will try to repeat that success by heading out on the road this summer with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men. And this isn't just a nostalgia tour — NKOTB announced that they have a brand new single and album on the way too!
New Kids on the Block came back on to the scene a couple of years ago by combining tours with Backstreet Boys. This started a bit of a trend of bands of the late 90's-early 2000's making a comeback. Well now, NKOTB and two more of the biggest boy bands of that era are going on tour this year, making one heck of a comeback.
Everyone’s taking quite the trip down memory lane lately. First we had the Spice Girls performing at the 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony, then it was 98 Degrees reuniting on ‘The Today Show,’ and now it’s 98 Degrees again, performing with the Wanted and New Kids on the Block at the first-ever MixTape Festival in Hershey, Penn. We’re not really complaining…
