There is stands proudly in your living room, your Christmas tree! It's adorned with your memorable ornaments, beautiful tinsel and bright lights but come December 26th or soon there after it'll all come down and if you've got a real tree in your home what do you do with it? Easy, recycle it!

With Thanksgiving past we're moving on to Christmas! This past weekend many of us got up in the attic and pulled out our boxes of Christmas decorations and the pre-lit artificial tree to get it ready for the most important holiday on the calendar, Christmas!

Now that Christmas is over, it's probably time to take down the tree. For most of us anyway. One percent of the population leaves the tree up all year! You know who you are. How long is too long? Most people take down the tree by early January, and some of us ripped it down as soon as the last present was passed out.

Many first time cat owners often wondered why their Christmas tree ornaments end up on the floor and scattered throughout the house and it doesn't take long to figure out either!  For some households it's a daily battle, the cat takes on the Christmas tree and for the most part the cat wins!

Christmas trees come in all shapes, sizes, colors and styles and many families in East Texas have their Christmas trees up and decorated and are just waiting for Santa to put presents underneath them. However, there are homes that are still waiting for the tree to be brought in or put up!
