One of the repercussions of creating a huge feast is having an enormous amount of leftovers.  You might be bound and determined to eat and eat until you're sick, but even then you and your family might have a little green bean casserole to spare. Kids wish for the world when it comes to receiving gifts and in reality, some kids will not receive anything this year because of difficult times or other situations.

The Salvation Army Red Kettle Bell ringers have been ringing the bells outside of retail locations during the holiday season every year since the first bells rang out in San Francisco in 1881. It takes quite a few volunteers to ring those bells to help bring in monetary donations to support the Salvation Army each year.
