You definitely shouldn't be bored in East Texas this weekend, because there are plenty of things to do all weekend long.

The celebration of the tomato happens Saturday in downtown Jacksonville. But there's more to it than just the Saturday festivities.

It's that time once again to celebrate the fruit that many consider and use as a vegetable -- the tomato! The 28th annual Tomato Fest is happening Saturday in downtown Jacksonville.

Tomorrow we celebrate the tomato.  Oh, not just any tomato, the true king of all tomatoes...the Jacksonville tomato.  All hail!  Tomato Fest starts tomorrow at 9a!  See you there?  I come from a long line of East Texas tomato growers and eaters.
