Taylor Swift Will Receive Generation Award at 2012 Canadian Awards Show
America’s sweetheart Taylor Swift is going to need to put an addition onto her house in order to store her awards. She’s just 22, but is racking up more trophies and professional accolades than many artists do in a lifetime-long career. Her next honor, after attending and performing at this Thursday’s (Sept. 6) VMAs, will be the receipt of the first-ever Generation Award. Swift will receive the award at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards on Sunday (Sept. 9.)
Swift will be celebrated for career achievements, according to WENN, at the ceremony in Saskatoon.
The organization’s Ted Ellis said, “Taylor Swift embodies every aspect of the CCMA Generation Award. Since 2010, she has not only become the biggest selling country artist in Canada, she is also one of the top selling artists in the world, across all genres.”
Swift may not even have reached the quarter-century mark with her age, but she is already one of the most decorated and celebrated, not to mention commercially viable, acts of her day.
Congrats once again to T. Swift on taking home another award. Now see a contractor about building that addition to your house, since we doubt you’ll stop receiving awards and honors anytime soon, girl.
