Mix 93-1 and Cooperative Teachers Credit Union are proud to honor and recognize outstanding East Texas teachers for the amazing job they are doing in the classroom when it comes to educating the students of East Texas.

This week's Mix 93-1 Teacher Of The Week is:

Mrs. Read - Troup Elementary School

Mrs. Read is a first-grade teacher at Troup Elementary School in Troup. Mrs. Read was nominated by the parent of one of her former students who had this to say about her:

Mrs. Read is an awesome first grade teacher. She welcomed my son into her classroom with open arms. He would come home telling me about how much fun he had in her class and how she made him laugh every day of the year. Mrs. Read should be Teacher of the Year. He would tell me about how funny she looked on dress up days. Mrs. Read made my son's first year of school memorable not only because of how funny she is but how she engaged my son in learning new concepts throughout the year."

Mix 93-1 and Cooperative Teachers Credit Union salute Mrs. Read and are proud to name her this week's Mix 93-1 Teacher Of The Week.

In addition to receiving a personalized plaque from Tyler Trophy to commemorate this achievement, Mrs. Read will also receive a prize package that will include the following:

You can nominate an outstanding teacher who is making an impact on you, your student, or your school's students and they could be next to be named the Mix 93-1 Teacher Of The Week.
