TJC’s Street Fair Features Music, Workshops, Food, And More

Culture and lovers of the arts...and/or food...and/or fun, heads up!

Take a stroll over to TJC's Cultural Arts District 'Street Fair,' Saturday, April 27, from 3 to 9 p.m. on the main campus. Enjoy a plethora of activities, from art gallery tours and planetarium shows, to comedy at the theatre or perusing the outdoor market to see what some of our local artists have to share. There will be performances for your entertainment utilizing five venues.

Once you've enjoyed a bit of theatre, comedy, and visual art, the TJC Dance Department will take you "on an adventure to a magical castle." A little later, do some sky-gazing using the high-powered telescopes that will be set up for you.

When you inevitably get peckish, enjoy some creative food offerings from TJC's new Culinary Arts Program!

Bottom line: What a fun way to spend an afternoon and evening, taking in a huge variety of artistic and cultural elements, right here in East Texas. More good news? Admission is free. However, those who decide to book ahead of time will be given a special gift.
