When it comes to "small town" East Texas festivals, there will be little argument from anyone in the area that the annual Edgewood Heritage Festival lives up to its theme and goal of giving everyone a taste of how it used to be. The 43rd Annual Edgewood Heritage Festival will kick off Saturday morning at 8:45am downtown with a grand celebration and historic trip through the life of one of the most quaint small communities this state has to offer.

This absolute launch back to a much less complex time in our world is dedicated each year to all Firefighters Of Texas and benefits the beautiful Heritage Park Museum of East Texas. The streets will be alive with artisans, classic cars, antique tractors, carnival food, and of course plenty of activities for the children. What stands out in Edgewood is the blacksmithing, the old west reenactments, model trains, and the classic operating printing press.
