Three winners of the Texas Association of Authors Best Book Awards will visit the Tyler Public Library in August and September.

Van G. Garrett, C.M. Bratton and Myra Hargrave McIlvain will each visit the library for a meet and greet with fans in the Taylor Auditorium. Each visit is scheduled from noon till 2 p.m., and fans are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Each author will have merchandise for sale.

Garrett is a Houston native, and not only an author, but also an artist and photographer. Garrett will visit Tyler on Saturday, Aug. 5.

Bratton, a San Antonio native, is known for her science fiction work. She picked up three awards this year, Comedy Fiction, Dark Fantasy Series, and Science Fiction. Bratton will be in Tyler on Friday, Aug. 18.

McIlvain is from Austin and will be in Tyler on Saturday, Sept. 30. She recently won an award for Best Historical Fiction for her work The Doctor's Wife.
