Santa and Mrs. Claus have an extremely busy night ahead of them on Christmas Eve and come Christmas Day both Santa and Mrs. Claus want to rest and the last thing they want to do is cook a big meal in the kitchen and then have to clean up the mess. Thankfully East Texas has quite a few restaurants that will be open Christmas Day so they don't have to whip up a Christmas meal and make that mess.

Once the gifts are opened Christmas morning and the hunger starts to set in but you're feeling a bit like Santa and Mrs. Claus all you have to do is make a quick trip to one of these East Texas restaurants and have a Christmas meal.

Let's hope though that if you go out to eat your meal goes quite a bit better than the meal Ralph and his family enjoyed at the Chop Suey Palace in 'The Christmas Story'! Let's hope the wait staff can sing 'Deck The Halls' the proper way and that when the duck comes it's prepared without a smiling duck face!

Kindness will go a long way on this special day. Be patient with the staff as there could be a longer than usual wait and remember to take care of them when it comes to tipping at the end of the meal.
