(Mix 93-1) Look around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and you’ll see a theme park battle brewing. For decades, Six Flags Over Texas has entertained and thrilled guests with its world-class roller coasters, water rides, and shows. Now, a couple of new theme parks are looking to lure away families and younger guests.

Six Flags Over Texas: The Original Thrill Capital

While Six Flags Over Texas mainly attracts pre-teens, teens, and adults as its primary guests, two new theme parks aim to attract families and younger guests to their parks. Peppa Pig Theme Park Dallas-Fort Worth opened its gates in March 2025 to welcome the youngest of guests and to immerse them in the world of Peppa Pig with themed kid-friendly rides, roller coasters, splash pads, live shows, and themed dining areas.
