The victims of the deadly shooting that took place at a Walmart in El Paso are being remembered as the store prepares to reopen by having a memorial placed in their honor.

According to Time, the 22 people who were killed in the mass shooting will be remembered as the store will be rebuilt first, and it will include an memorial on-site to honor the victims of the massacre.

Walmart spokesman Randy Hargrove said in a statement,

The company believes is an "important step in healing," is expected to take three to four months. Nothing will erase the pain of August 3 and we’re hopeful that reopening the store will be another testament to the strength and resiliency that has characterized the El Paso community in the wake of this tragedy.

The El Paso City Council has been searching for other methods of having armed security guards for large stores in the wake of the shooting and have additional security at the entrances of the store.

God bless the victims of El Paso and Dayton Ohio.
