(Mix 93-1) It's the last spring weekend of 2025. Summer 2025 officially arrives next Friday morning, June 20th, at 9:42 a.m.

The fun will continue this weekend for East Texans, thanks to the many festivals and activities happening around town.

This weekend, it's all about celebrating bright red and green tomatoes in every way possible in Jacksonville, the antioxidant-packed blueberry in Nacogdoches, and seeing some hot air balloons rise above the fairgrounds in Longview.

Final Spring Weekend Forecast

Fingers crossed that the rain and thunderstorms hold off for these events, so they don't get rained out. At this point, there seems to be a 30% chance of rain and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Don't Forget About Your Dad This Weekend

In addition to all the events happening around East Texas, don't forget about dear dad on Sunday, it's Father's Day.

You might want to forego giving him a tie and instead get him an experience of some kind. Just be sure to call him and tell him how much he means to you.

Here's a look at what's happening this weekend in East Texas.
